I’m an outsider. I know how to win in places where Democrats have stopped winning. My New York district is a microcosm of the country: suburbs, exurbs, rural areas, cities. It’s tough red territory. And I’ve won on tough Trump turf three times: outrunning Republicans and way outrunning Democrats. I’ve even won big when Democratic Governors faced red waves. And, I’ve worked to bring the Democratic big tent together without sacrificing our values.
